A few details about me.
I am married with one kid. A graduate of BS Nursing. I’ve been working as a freelance transcriber full time for two years now.
How I got started in transcription.
I was once a full-time mom looking for an extra income to help with our family finances. I tried my luck on applying to some transcriber positions in different platforms and luckily, I got hired.
How I describe myself as a freelance transcriber.
Transcription has 3 steps: transcribe, edit and proofread (TEP). I do all three. I aim for client satisfaction first and foremost. To ensure high quality of work, I go the extra mile of diligently proofreading, so that the final transcript is impeccable. My main objective is not only to provide over-delivery on my services, but also to create memorable experiences for the client throughout the online business relationship.
What I like most about being a freelance transcriber.
I like it that I enjoy my job and that I am good at it.
A few things I learned in transcription that I will never forget.
I can never forget this file that I transcribed, the speaker said, “If you can hold it in your head, you can hold it in your hand.” I even wrote it in a paper and paste it in my desk. It inspires me to have goals and to dream big.
My favorite things to do when I’m not transcribing.
I love to read books. I always find time to read even a busy day.
