- They serve a wide variety of transcription needs (academic, media, business, legal, etc.).
Role: General Transcriptionist
Duties / Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio/video recordings (meetings, interviews, etc.).
- Proofread and ensure accuracy.
- Work independently from home, without supervision.
Requirements / Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and transcription software.
- Strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills. Good typing speed.
- Strong listening and audio comprehension skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to do Internet research (for editing, verification) when needed.
Compensation & Terms
- Payment is based on the quality of audio recordings per audio hour (i.e. how clear / usable the audio is).
- The position is offered as an independent contractor / home-based role.
