What Amberscript Offers & How the Role Works
- Amberscript hires freelancers to do tasks like transcribing audio, subtitling/captioning video, and translating captions/subtitles.
- Work is remote and flexible: you can work from anywhere (as long as you have a reliable internet connection) and choose which jobs you accept.
- You’ll use Amberscript’s online editor to clean up automatically generated (AI) transcripts/captions—i.e. edit, correct, format, synchronize.
Pay & Payment Details
- Payment is monthly via bank transfer or PayPal.
- Indicative rates vary depending on the task type and language:
- Transcription: approx €0.45 – €1.20 per audio/video minute
- Captioning / Subtitling: about €0.90 – €1.90 per minute
- Translation: higher rates, e.g. €3.50-€6.00 / audio-video minute for translating captions etc.
Requirements & What They Expect
- Must have good to excellent language skills (grammar, spelling, style, etc.) for whichever language(s) you’ll work with.
- Attention to detail; ability to follow style guidelines, speaker labeling, formatting.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Equipment: a computer (or laptop), good headphones. Sometimes knowledge of editing / subtitle/caption formats is needed.
