Requirements
- Experience: Prior transcription experience is preferred; AAERT certification is highly desirable
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Word or WordPerfect; high-speed internet connection; use of foot pedal is advantageous
- Availability: Flexible hours; must be able to meet varying turnaround times
- Security Clearance: Required for Immigration and Social Security accounts; handled by the client at no cost to the contractor

Screening Process

- Testing: The process includes free tests to assess transcription skills; compensation is not provided for these tests.
- Probationary Period: Upon passing tests, new contractors begin on probationary status at minimum pay while work quality is evaluated.
- Security Clearance: Required for certain clients; includes background checks and fingerprinting.
