  • Fluent English and UK-based residence.

  • Ownership of a PC with broadband internet.

  • Capability to download and install transcription software.


Compensation Overview

TP Transcription pays transcriptionists per recorded audio hour, with rates that vary based on content type and turnaround:

  • £32/hour for one-on-one interviews, standard (10–14 day) turnaround
  • £42/hour for focus groups (3–8 speakers)
  • £37/hour for one-on-one interviews with expedited turnaround (5–7 working days)
  • £27/hour for dictation (10–14 day turnaround)

Application Process — How to Become an Associate

  1. Fill out the online application form located at the bottom of the page.
  2. Attach your up-to-date CV with your submission.
  3. TP will respond by sending you a link to a sample audio file.
  4. Transcribe the provided sample, formatting it using intelligent verbatim style in Calibri 11-point font, marking speaker turns with INT: (Interviewer) and RES: (Respondent).
  5. Upload your completed transcription. Upon approval, they’ll ask you to sign a subcontractor agreement and a confidentiality agreement.
