Nature of the Work
- General transcription: converting voice recordings into written transcripts.

Skills & Requirements
- Typing speed: Minimum 60 words per minute.
- Strong command of English: grammar, punctuation, sentence structure. Broad vocabulary. Good research skills.
- Excellent auditory and memory skills; able to focus and work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to produce 30-120 minutes of audio transcription within a 12-hour deadline.
Equipment & Setup
- Required hardware/software includes:
- Windows 7 or higher OS
- Licensed Microsoft Office suite
- Licensed antivirus software
- Licensed Express Scribe Pro (transcription software)
- A good noise-cancelling transcription headset
- Stable, reliable internet (DSL or equivalent)
- Also requires a quiet, disruption-free workspace; ability to work independently.
Contract & Process
- Must sign certain agreements: Independent Contractor Agreement, NDA, their Transcript Guidelines, Direct Deposit Authorization, and a Social Media Responsible Use Policy.
- Must provide government-issued ID.
- Applicants must undergo a skills assessment and transcription test.
Pay / Payments (General Info)
- Payments are made bi-monthly.
- Payment methods vary depending on location: bank deposit (for Philippines & US), PayPal (for locations outside those).
- Rate depends on the client, type of transcription, and the contractor’s skill level.
